2008 marks the 55th anniversary of this celebration, although it was not officially entered as a holiday until 1982! The week celebrates the 2.6 million+ licensed registered nurses (RN’s and LPN’s) and some 1.3 million nurses aids in the United States alone. To all the Nurses in the World - A Great Big THANK YOU!
